You want a container that is no more than 3/4 full, to avoid &quot;boilover&quot; if you have an especially vigorous fermentation. The orange buckets that Home Depot sells are 5 gallon, which will be sufficient for a small batch. Last I knew those buckets are food grade.

I use Rubbermaid Brutes (20 and 32 gallon) for large batches, although that&#039;s overkill for your current needs.]]></description>
