1989 Vidal Blanc
December 20017 – 1989 was a “blend year” – my primary wines were a red blend and a white blend.
I think I did the Vidal because the Mitchell Vineyards had some left over and were selling at a good price.

Afterthoughts | The one thing I remember about this wine was that it dropped a LOT of sediment. Had others do that, but this one started with 6 gallons juice and ended up with less than 5 gallons of wine. Not a problem, just a surprise. |
October 2018 | It occurred to me that the above note about sediment jives with my memory that this was leftover juice. The tank had settled and I got a larger portion of the settled sediment. |
