Kombucha Batch #24-04

As is my habit, I started this batch immediately after bottling the last one.

I remembered incorrectly, and instead of 4 Tbsp tea I used 3 in this batch:

  • 3 Tbsp Lychee Black Tea
  • 1 liters boiling water

Let steep 15 minutes.

Drain the tea, stir in:

  • 1 cup sugar

I let the tea sit on the stove for an hour to cool down naturally, then added a large mug of ice cubes to a pitcher, then the tea. I let this cool to 70 F, which took about 30 minutes with the amount of ice I used.

I reserved the newest part of the old SCOBY and 1 cup kombucha, putting that back in the brewing jar, then added the tea. Filled with cool water and we are off!
