June 2021 – I have no memory of what went into making this wine. I suspect I found another recipe in a newspaper, and decided to take a stab at it.
Since it was strawberry wine, it’s likely I started it in May after I got home from college, and I’m sure I used my beer ball fermenter again. This time I poured the wine into gallon glass jugs, so I didn’t experience the oxidation the 1981 Rhubarb did.
Please note that at that time, I had no idea what oxidation was. I may have moved the wine into jugs as the beer ball took up too much room.
This one tasted much better than the Rhubarb, so I don’t think any of it was left by Christmas of that year.
